Los Angeles Protests - Summer 17

Los Angeles Protests - August 2017

In August 2017, with the nation still reeling from the deadly white supremacist riot in Charlottesville, Angelenos took to the streets to protest the divisive actions of Donald Trump's administration.  Organizers marched through Downtown Los Angeles to the ICE detention center and chanted up at the detainees, who responded by tapping back loudly on their prison cell's small windows. In Laguna Beach, police struggled to keep the peace when a planned Trump Rally was met with strong opposition from leftist groups and the dozens of "America First" participators were met and surrounded by over 2,000 counter-protestors, including members from Antifa and the Democratic Socialists of America.
