Isabel and children

When approached for a photograph, Isabel asked if it would be possible to include the children who she’d become so fond of during the trip. They had come to refer to her as “abuela” during the journey.

As members of the caravan slowly began to be called for processing into the US, she knew it was likely the last time they would all be together, as some headed into the US and others were deported back to their home countries.
